Lalitha Bhowani-McSorley

(Physiotherapist)

Lalitha was born in South Africa. She graduated as a physiotherapist at the University of Durban-Westville, South Africa in 1986 with distinction. Lalitha initially worked at King Edward V111 Hospital, the largest teaching hospital in the southern hemisphere. Lalitha is certified with the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute and is a registered practitioner of Gokavi Transverse Technique (dry needling/ GTT/ intramuscular stimulation – IMS). She is a qualified in vestibular rehabilitation (balance, dizziness and vertigo dysfunction). Lalitha is a rehabilitation consultant for WCB for hand injuries. Lalitha traveled to Canada in 1989 to work in rural Alberta (Drumheller, Stettler, Coronation.) She moved to Calgary in 1991 and has worked predominantly in private practice. Lalitha is founder and owner of Brentwood Physiotherapy Clinic. Her special interest is orthopedic conditions, vestibular rehabilitation (balance and dizziness disorders) and sports injuries. Brenda Fader

We are proud to have Brenda as a part of our team. She was raised in Innisfail, Alberta and has deep roots in the rodeo world as part of the Daines family. Brenda graduated from the University of Alberta in 1982 with a BSc. in Physiotherapy with Distinction. She started her career at the Vancouver General Hospital working acute care for 5 years. Returning to Alberta she has worked in private practice for many years. A member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association with post graduate education in manual therapy, arthritis, osteoporosis and dizziness and balance issues. Brenda enjoys working with the team at Brentwood Physiotherapy to address your orthopaedic issues. Calgary has been home for past 15 years where she is involved volunteering with her families activities. Karmen Li

Karmen Li completed her Master’s of Physical Therapy degree at the University of Alberta. She has worked in community settings, private practice and a private interdisciplinary clinic specialized in treatment of individuals with brain injury (mild to severe injuries). She has achieved Vestibular Competency from Duke University. She has a special interest in treatment of orthopaedic conditions, vestibular (balance and dizziness) disorders, and concussion management. Karmen is certified to perform dry needling through Functional Dry Needling.

Karmen enjoys utilizing a combination of therapeutic exercise, hands on manual therapy, and education regarding self management strategies to help clients to reach their goals. Karmen is eager to assist you in returning to life, work and recreation! Outside of the clinic, Karmen enjoys cycling, skiing, running, and spending time with her family. Grace Song

Grace earned her Masters of Physiotherapy Studies from Western University. Prior to that, she graduated from York University with a Bachelors of Science in Psychology and a Bachelors of Science in Nutritional Sciences at the University of Toronto. Grace has also completed numerous professional development courses, earning her certifications in vestibular physiotherapy, concussion management, manual therapy, dry needling, and more.

Grace’s goal is to help people understand how adaptable their body can be, and give them the power to take control of their own health. She wants to encourage everyone to live a healthier life, and show them that they can adapt and overcome any obstacle- as well as thrive in their everyday lives, both physically and mentally.She works collaboratively with her patients to create a treatment plan that helps them meet their goals.

Ken Falconer

Batter up! We’re thrilled to welcome Ken, a former draft pick for the Seattle Mariners to our team. Ken graduated with a master’s of physiotherapy from the University of Western Ontario. He’s a lifelong athlete and fitness enthusiast and considers physiotherapy a perfect fit for his lifestyle. Prior to finishing his schooling, he played Division I college baseball in the U.S. and was subsequently drafted by a Major League organization. After a 4 year minor league career, Ken finished his degree in Exercise Science and worked as a fitness professional. Now, as a physiotherapist, he enjoys the challenge of finding the right treatment for his patients. He particularly enjoys the creative aspect of functional training and rehabilitation. He is certified for acupuncture treatment from the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada. These days he keeps himself busy by playing golf, volleyball, skiing, snowboarding and toying with different workout programs. Benji

Benji was born in Calgary and just celebrated his third birthday in February. He graduated from puppy school in 2017 with distinction. He is fluent in dog and is currently enrolled in english classes. His immaculate personal presentation along with the ability to solve problems effectively, makes for the perfect experience coordinator. Benji enjoys long walks in the park and candle lit kibble dinners.

Parmeet Kaur

(Physiotherapist & Pelvic Floor Therapist)

Parmeet earned her Masters of Physiotherapy and has since completed numerous extensive post graduate education, earning her specialized certifications in pelvic floor physiotherapy and vestibular physiotherapy. She has extensive experience working with this population and is dedicated to providing the best possible care.

Parmeet has worked with a variety of moms, dads, men and women, all who suffer from pelvic floor issues. This includes pre/postpartum moms, individuals struggling with incontinence, pelvic pain, erectile dysfunction and many more pelvic floor problems. She is incredibly knowledgeable in the biomechanical nature of all pelvic floor issues. Parmeet is ready to work with you and your health care team to help improve your quality of life.

Madelaine Bate

Madelaine is our Registered Massage Therapist, who has been practicing since 2001. Since then, she has completed numerous extensive post graduate courses, earning her specialized certifications massage therapy, including deep tissue, therapeutics and much more

As well as being our Registered Massage Therapist, she is also a cross country ski coach & instructor with Foothills Nordic Ski Club.  She’s a mom of 3 kids & a PALS dog named Poppy.  Madelaine is a big believer in an active lifestyle, getting out in nature & connecting with other people.  Former World Cup mountain bike racer & Junior National biathlete, she still loves to race her mountain bike or cross country skis once in a while.

Kieran graduated from the University of Victoria in 2016 with a degree in Chemistry and Business. Kieran is now the chief operating officer at our clinic and is responsible for making your experience at Brentwood Physiotherapy a positive one. You’ll find comfort knowing that he understands where you, as a patient, are coming from. After sustaining a serious injury on a mountain, Kieran underwent an extensive physiotherapy program at Brentwood Physiotherapy. This experience as a patient gave him invaluable insight into the patient’s recovery process. He utilized his own personal experience to create a positive clinic environment for patients by being an actual patient.

Debbie Emery

Debbie is the friendly voice usually heard when calling Brentwood Physiotherapy Clinic. Debbie loves to help people and make them feel at ease. She has boundless energy and empathy. Debbie completed her Medical Office course at Bow Valley College in 1998 and has worked as a receptionist ever since. Debbie has been with Brentwood Physiotherapy Clinic since its creation.
