Carlijn Boer

Carlijn was born in the Netherlands. She graduated as a physiotherapist in 1989 with honours. She worked in a private clinic before immigrating to Canada in 1992. Carlijn has been working in a variety of settings, from Active Rehab Clinics, Private Clinics, Hospitals to Home Care; across the country from Kingston, ON to Vancouver, BC and the last 10 years in Calgary, AB.  She also worked as a pharmaceutical representative for several years. Carlijn is a certified “Fit to Deliver instructor”. She has completed a Post Graduate holistic assessment and treatment program in The Netherlands. Carlijn loves to spend time with her family, lives an active lifestyle and enjoys traveling.

Christine Salter>

Christine graduated from the school of Physiotherapy at the University of Saskatchewan in 1992. After working for a year at a Rehabilitation Center in Regina she moved to Alberta to seek out opportunity in private practice. She has worked in private clinics in Calgary for over 20 years and gained experience treating musculoskeletal injuries. Christine is certified in Medical Acupuncture through the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada and uses Traditional Chinese medicine to compliment her practice. This holistic approach to treatment allows patients a natural way to navigate through pain and injury. Her interest in manual therapy led her to the study of advanced levels in Orthopaedic medicine including spinal manipulative therapy. This specialized training allows for a safe and effective hands on approach to treating neck and back pain. Currently she is taking courses in vestibular therapy and learning to treat the increasing number of patients presenting with symptoms of dizziness and vertigo.
Christine radiates genuine kindness and compassion to all her patients. She partners with them using her knowledge and skills along with therapeutic exercise to maximize recovery and teach patients how they can help themselves.

Ken Falconer

Batter up! We’re thrilled to welcome Ken, a former draft pick for the Seattle Mariners to our team. Ken graduated with a master’s of physiotherapy from the University of Western Ontario. He’s a lifelong athlete and fitness enthusiast and considers physiotherapy a perfect fit for his lifestyle. Prior to finishing his schooling, he played Division I college baseball in the U.S. and was subsequently drafted by a Major League organization. After a 4 year minor league career, Ken finished his degree in Exercise Science and worked as a fitness professional. Now, as a physiotherapist, he enjoys the challenge of finding the right treatment for his patients. He particularly enjoys the creative aspect of functional training and rehabilitation. He is certified for acupuncture treatment from the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada. These days he keeps himself busy by playing golf, volleyball, skiing, snowboarding and toying with different workout programs. Ken looks forward to helping you recover from your injury, educating you on health and injury prevention strategies.

Benji was born in Calgary and just celebrated his third birthday in February. He graduated from puppy school in 2017 with distinction. He is fluent in dog and is currently enrolled in english classes. His immaculate personal presentation along with the ability to solve problems effectively, makes for the perfect experience coordinator. Benji enjoys long walks in the park and candle lit kibble dinners.

Rachel Willis

(PT, MPT;CAFCI)

Rachel Willis is originally from New Brunswick and moved to Calgary in 2013 after completing her Master of Physiotherapy degree at the University of Western Ontario. Rachel has worked in a variety of settings including private practice, community physiotherapy and in a private interdisciplinary clinic for the treatment of persons with brain injury (mild to severe). Rachel is certified to perform acupuncture treatment through the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada. She has significant treatment experience and a special interest in the treatment of traumatic brain injury, including concussion management, in addition to vestibular (dizziness) rehabilitation. Rachel’s treatment techniques are primarily based on active rehabilitation (ie. exercise) and education of  appropriate self management techniques to help improve patient recovery. When she isn’t chasing after a toddler, Rachel enjoys hiking, cycling, strength training and playing music.

Alison Dalton

Alison is a Registered Massage Therapist and a member of the Massage Therapist Association of Alberta. She graduated  from Mount Royal University in 2018 with her 2200 hour Massage Therapy Diploma. Her previous experience in Emergency Medical Services lead to an interest and passion for injury recovery and pain relief. She uses science based massage techniques and hydrotherapy to create a relaxing therapeutic massage experience.

Kieran graduated from the University of Victoria in 2016 with a degree in Chemistry and a minor in Business. Kieran is now the chief operating officer at our clinic and is responsible for making your experience at Brentwood Physiotherapy a positive one. You’ll find comfort knowing that he understands where you, as a patient, are coming from. After sustaining a serious injury on a mountain, Kieran underwent an extensive physiotherapy program at Brentwood Physiotherapy. This experience as a patient gave him invaluable insight into the patient’s recovery process. He utilized his own personal experience to create a positive clinic environment for patients by being an actual patient.

Debbie Emery

Debbie is the friendly voice usually heard when calling Brentwood Physiotherapy Clinic. Debbie loves to help people and make them feel at ease. She has boundless energy and empathy. Debbie completed her Medical Office course at Bow Valley College in 1998 and has worked as a receptionist ever since. Debbie has been with Brentwood Physiotherapy Clinic since its creation.
