Direct Billing FAQs:

How do I find out my coverage amount?
To know your coverage details, simply reach out to your extended health carrier or plan administrator for the specifics.

What if my extended health carrier only covers a portion of my visit?
No worries. We make things easy and will handle the billing process. If your insurance only covers a portion of your visit, we’ll submit the covered amount to them directly. At the end of each treatment, you’ll only need to pay the remaining balance.

Can you coordinate benefits between carriers?
Currently, Brentwood Physio can bill multiple insurance companies per visit. That means if you have multiple coverages for physiotherapy, we can bill them all, saving you a TON of time.

Is a doctor’s referral necessary?
You won’t need a doctor’s referral at Brentwood Physio. However, keep in mind that certain insurance plans may require one. To know your plan’s specific requirements, please check with your extended health carrier.

What if I have an active AHS, WCB, or other insurance claim at another clinic?
If you have an ongoing claim, we can bill your visit to your extended health carrier if it’s related to that claim. In such cases, give our team a call and we can get things set up for you. We will take care of everything.

What if my claim gets denied?
In the event of a denied claim during online direct billing, we kindly request that you settle the balance in full at the end of each treatment. Our front desk staff will inform you before you leave if your claim has been denied. They will also give you a reason as to why it got denied. Quite often this can easily be fixed by the time your next appointment comes around with a short phone call with your insurance. Please note that certain plans may have restrictions that prevent online direct billing. To check your eligibility for this service, please contact your extended health carrier.

Remember, our friendly team is here to assist you every step of the way. Feel free to reach out if you have any further questions!
