Melanie Walter

Physiotherapist

I am a physiotherapist at Brentwood Physio dedicated to helping people move with confidence and build long-term strength. I completed my Master of Physical Therapy at the University of Alberta, where I developed a strong foundation in evidence-based, patient-focused care. My approach combines exercise therapy, clear education, and practical strategies to help patients recover from injury and prevent future problems. I also use hands-on therapy to reduce pain, improve mobility, and support a safe return to the activities that matter most.

My passion for physiotherapy comes from personal experience. After tearing my ACL and meniscus, I went through a long rehabilitation process that ended my university soccer career. This gave me a deep understanding of how challenging injuries can be, both physically and mentally. I aim to provide the same support I valued during my own recovery, helping patients feel confident, informed, and motivated throughout their rehab.

Outside the clinic, I enjoy staying active through sports and fitness, travelling, and expressing creativity through music. I enjoy DJing and singing, which reflects my belief that recovery is about getting back to the activities and lifestyle that you enjoy most.
