Vertigo can be very Disabling and affect your balance

Are you feeling a little unbalanced throughout your daily life? Maybe it’s on and off and not that much of a problem…or maybe you feel dizzy all the time? There is a good chance that what you are dealing with is a condition that is treatable. Even if it’s an occasional issue it’s better to get treated and improve your quality of life! If you haven’t heard of this condition, it’s called benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV).


How can you Recognize Vertigo?

Symptoms of (BPPV) vertigo include:

  • Dizziness and altered balance
  • Dizziness or vertigo* with head movements, lying down,sitting up, turning in bed,etc.
  • Nausea and vomiting
  • difficulty focusing, blurred vision
  • fatigue
  • poor concentration

*Note that dizziness and vertigo are different symptoms/sensations

 


Vertigo affects Balance and much more

Vertigo (BPPV) is the result of dislodged crystals (otoliths) the inner ear. The inner ear is one way our brain regulates balance. Our expert physiotherapists will treat you and give you exercises to keep your balance and resolve your vertigo, dizziness and other symptoms.

It can take months for vertigo symptoms to completely resolved. Depending on the cause of your vertigo your specific treatment will vary.
