#5 Chinook Stampede Breakfast
Location: 6455 Macleod Trail SW

In true Stampede tradition, Chinook Mall will host a COVID friendly Stampede Breakfast on Saturday. Chinook has been consistent with their breakfasts over the past 20years, it’s not going to blow your socks off but it’s a classic. This year things are a little different and we think this will appeal to a lot of Calgarians who are still feeling uneasy about the crowds. People are invited to check out the East parking lot to participate in its reimagined drive-through experience. You will be provided with pancake mix and syrup kits – all the fixings needed to enjoy a delicious at-home breakfast. While waiting in your vehicle to receive a take-home pancake kits, guests will be surrounded by a live country music performance by country artist Cole Martin.
#4 OMO Teppan & Kitchen

This is our wildcard pick. You have been warned!We’ve never been here but when we got wind of free Green Tea Pancakes, our initiation told us that we needed this in our lives. How could one resist the temptation of indulging in green tea pancakes?! This free event will be held on their brand new patio. With live music and prizes, it’s worth checking out.
#3: Triwood Community Center
Location: 2244 Chicoutimi Dr NW, Calgary

Comfort food in a rustic-cowboy atmosphere! Triwood Community Center has a delightful, laid back environment, with lots of energy and mouth-watering food that makes it a favourite Stampede Breakfast spot for many Calgarians. Every year they bring in an ancient group of musicians that jammed out on banjo, violin and brass instruments…it is about as close as you’ll get to the dinosaur age, quite the sight to see. If you’re looking to really dig into a generous portion of delicious pancakes, hash browns, bacon, eggs and sausages, don’t think twice. Head down to Triwood Community Center, you won’t be disappointed!
#2 Minas Brazilian Steakhouse
Location: 136 2 St SW, Calgary

When it comes to awesome places to dive into a Free Stampede Breakfast, this restaurant always ranks high on many Calgarians lists. Sustainably sourced Brazilian barbecue prepared by the master chef Jose Montes himself! Atmosphere also plays an important part in Stampede Breakfast culture, and this particular restaurant provides a tasteful Brazilian flare that we absolutely adore. Served with your pancakes you also get the most amazing pork loin skewers and steaks. This delicious selection of meats is complemented by a wide variety of amazing dishes like Brazilian mini donuts, rice and beans, freshly squeezed tropical juice and coffee straight from Brazil! Did I mention this is all free? We aren’t 100% sure that this event will be a go for this year, however, we couldn’t leave it off the list. As soon as we get a date, we will update you all!
#1 Calgary Winter Club

Hands down the best Free Stampede Breakfast in the city. From its inception in 1960, the Calgary Winterclub has quickly became one of Calgarians top athletic and social institutions. It is stylish, it is boujee but we don’t care about that nonsense all we care about is their incredible Free Stampede Breakfast. If you have friends visiting from out of town, and you want to show off a little, this is the place to take them.
They offer a selection of well detailed and delicious free food. What about the most delicious pancakes? How about the most incredible chicken tenders? If that isn’t enough to convince you, maybe this will; there are free pony rides for kiddos, lives music and a petting zoo from Butterfield Acres! Over the years the Calgary Winterclub has never ceased to amaze us with the additional treats they bring in the spice up their Stampede Pancake Breakfast. History tends to repeat itself and if the past is any indication for the future, you’ll want to mark your calendars for this one!
